Mathematician specializing in numerical linear algebra, matrix functions, and Krylov subspace methods
- As of September 2019, I am a PRIMUS-funded postdoc in the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague. I am working on "Scalable and Accurate Numerical Linear Algebra for Next-Generation Hardware" under Erin Carson.
- My doctorate was jointly awarded by Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA and the Bergische Universität Wuppertal in Wuppertal, Germany for my thesis A New Block Krylov Subspace Framework with Applications to Functions of Matrices Acting on Multiple Vectors. I was supervised by Daniel B. Szyld and Andreas Frommer.
- I have a bachelors degree in Spanish and volunteered as an English teacher for Puentes de Salud in South Philly for a few years. In addition to Spanish, I speak some German, French, Bulgarian, and Arabic to varying degrees. (And more recently, a bit of Czech!) Check out my hobbies for my favorite language resources.
